FES markets the Flameless Pressurised Oxycombustion (ISOTHERM Pwr® FPO) technology developed by Itea S.p.A. FPO includes integral CO2 capture and can fire brown fuels including low-ranking coals such as Lignite as well as biomass without drying or beneficiation. FPO provides a pathway to affordable, efficient, and clean power which enables CO2 compression and liquefaction for use in EOR or sequestration.

Patrick Kitt and Peter Reineck (FES founders) are seeking potential CCS retrofit and new-build projects where FPO technology would show advantages over post-combustion capture (PCC) technologies. FPO advantages over PCC would include higher overall efficiency as well as no environmental contamination from losses of amine solvent or gaseous or particulate emissions.
